I want to add this module to the sidebar of my site but i don’t want the block to display thumbnail. How is this possible?

You have 2 possibilities to achieve this thing. You can use block 9, 10 because this kind of blocks do not have thumbnails in our structures or you can use any block you want and you should hide their thumbnails with a bit of css. For the second solution, I need to know what modules you use for implement this with Css.

I use block 7 which uses small thumbnails. I am satisfied with it. The 7 days post sorting is interesting module but why does it requires the show pageviews on post option enabled? If the pageviews option is active, will google crawl admin-ajax url? I had issues with some plugins that used wordpress ajax. Sometimes the admin-ajax resulted in a lot of soft 404 errors on my site. I hope this will not happen in newspaper theme

The 7 days post sorting relies on the post views (popular 7 days) It will only use the ajax post view counter if you activate it from the theme panel. This is recommended when using a cache plugin. If you do not you can deactivate this feature and the ajax counter will not be used.
Regarding the google crawler, we had no reports of this but it but multiple features of the theme use ajax, not just for post counting.
If these 404 errors do appear, there should be a seo fix for it.
