I just purchased the theme and have activated the Travel News demo. I am attempting to upload media to the library but get an http error after every attempt. I have activated my theme as well.
I contacted godaddy who advised that they reverted to 2015 and were able to upload media, so there may be a conflict with the theme compatibility with WP 4.4.
Anyone else having this issue or have advice?

Check permissions on your media folder; should be writable.
Some auto-updates of WP can reset this with permission too low.
Try resaving the default media sizes in the WP admin panel.
Be sure to clear all caching (any plugins); *and* in your web browser.
Turn off any/all image plugins (optimizers, Photon, etc.).
