Visual Composer 4.5 Backend Editor Content Missing

I use the Visual Composer Backend Editor. When I create several rows of content on a page and save the page then return to the page to edit the content, the bottom most rows will be missing. The content is still there because it is visible in the Classic Mode, but it is not visible in the Backend Editor Mode so I am not able to edit the content. I cannot figure out why it is doing that or how to make the editing window larger.

Hi

I am not sure why this happens but you can try to deactivate all plugins, except Visual Composer, just to be sure that there is no conflict with some other plugin, clear all caches and test again. Also you can try to make a local fresh new install, just with WordPress, the theme and the Visual Composer plugin then check if the problem is still there.

Thanks!

Thank you. I deactivated all of the plug-ins except Visual Composer and cleared the cache. I also tried a different browser (I am using Chrome), but the content is still missing when I try to edit the page using the Backend Editor.

How do I “make a local fresh new install” with the WordPress theme and visual composer plug in? I am not sure what you mean. Will I lose all of my content and plug-ins?

Hello,
You can test this in a localhost wordpress (not server-side). It can be created like so: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-install-wordpress-locally-for-pcwindows-with-xampp/
But before that, you can try one more thing. Please check the system status parameters here: http://screencast.com/t/DrDgNkcGee and make sure they are set properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thank you!

I checked the system status parameters. Here are my results. It looks like they are off, but I looked at the parameters guide and have not idea what I am supposed to do with this.

I really like the Newspaper Theme and so far it has been fairly easy to use. But making changes to the system status is WAY above my level of understanding and the guide does not help. How can someone like me get help?

Hello,

This task does not require superior knowledge. You simply have to edit 2 files with a text editor and edit or insert a few pieces of text. You will need to know how to copy and paste and type in a few things.
You will need to edit 2 files for this task: The first one is wp-config.php and the other is php.ini.
You can find wp-config.ini in the main wordpress installation folder.
In the wp-config.php you have to add this line to the bottom of the code:
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M' );
That’s it with this file. You now need to edit the php.ini file. This can be found in different places depending on your hosting provider. If you cannot locate it, please contact your hosting.
In the php.ini file you have to edit a few numbers.
search for these entries and replace them with the corresponding values. They should look like this:
max_input_vars = 5000
max_execution_time = 300
post_max_size = 50M

If this does not help you on your task, then you will need to get someone to help you.

Thank you!
