index page trim content

Hi,

I have setup a Newspaper wordpress theme and added some posts to preview the outlook. But I found that the whole content of a post displayed in index page is being displayed out. When I look into the demo site of Newspaper theme, the post content can be trimmed up to “…”. I would like to ask where can I enable this setting for my own site?

Hello,
I think you are referring to the excerpts. Do you maybe use a language that does not use spacing after words? (Japanese, Korean or something similar?) The excerpts cut the words by the spacing between them. If there is no spacing, the theme thinks a whole phrase is a single word. In this case you need to limit your excerpts by letters like so: http://screencast.com/t/SBbaRO1D8H
