Hello. After considering different things finally I decided to switch to Newspaper but am wondering if you have any specific advice on how to go about it. I have seen documentation, tutorials, etc.. but what I am asking is, what according to you is the best way to switch from one theme to Newspaper theme. In other words, I would like to know if there is a proven best practice or strategy to switch to Newspaper theme as I believe certain things like text formatting, image sizes, etc. may not appear as they do on my existing set up at http://mayapurvoice.com

Unfortunately there is no best way to do it. Multiple things can be changed or not work anymore as different themes handle elements differently so it is a very personal process and it is different from one theme to another. You simply need to make the switch and see how it goes and fix issues along the way.

As I am about to make a switch, I see a new update today. Downloaded also. Good, but which one should I install? I mean install the first one that I just purchased and downloaded and then update it or straightaway install the new update? Of course, common sense tells me install the updated one but when it comes to WordPress themes quite often common sense doesn’t bring a desired result :-). Pl advise.

You can safely download the latest version of the theme as we only implemented small a fix for worpdress 4.4.1 which came out yesterday and created a pagination issue. No other changes were made.

What about SEO ranking getting affected after switching to Newspaper? Any advice?

Our theme was built to be compatible with most seo plugins so using a seo plugin such as SEO Yoast should fix any SEO related issues.
