Hi there guys,
I’d like to use images from my Flickr account to be the post’s featured image, but am unable to do so.
Even with the help of plugins like these: https://wordpress.org/plugins/featured-image-from-url/installation/.
Therefore, I’m thinking the Newspaper 6 theme has something to do with this. How to fix this?
Can anybody help me out please? Tnx 🙂

Unfortunately, our theme has not been designed to have this option implemented. All the featured images as desired must be downloaded on your computer because the theme take the featured image from Media Library/Upload file from PC, like in this screenshot -> http://screencast.com/t/qxBWYhbC
You should try to find some plugins with this functionality and you can test on your computer and see how it work, but we cannot provide support for untested implementation plugins.

Unfortunately, your plugin that gave me from above, not work with our theme, sorry. I have done a lot of searches and I found another plugin that I have tested on our theme and seems to work as expected. Hi there,
Appreciate the effort. But as soon as I update the post with the new external featured image, the screen goes white. Turned off all my other plugins to see if they interfere, and they don’t. Same result.
I can only come to the conclusion that the 8 month old plugin you suggested doesn’t work well with the latest WordPress and Newspaper version. Shame.

Hi Andre,
We saw a bunch of plugin that have this functionality. We installed 2 of them and the second one worked for us. Maybe you can find another one that does the job well. Unfortunately this is the only option as the theme does not have this functionality. Hope you find a plugin that works out!
