Hi guys – love your theme but man I can’t for the life of me solve two big problems with it. My site is at http://mindbodypregnancy.com
1) The search icon in the menu does not work. I’ve tried disabling all plugins, no success. When I hover over it, I see it points to the URL http://mindbodypregnancy.com/# and after a click action, there’s no drop down field to type in a search term. All of the theme panel options are set up correctly. How can I fix this?
2) I’ve used the Bloom Optin plugin across many themes without a single problem. However, with Newspaper6 none of my optins work, meaning it is not capturing the email address and when I click “submit” it just refreshes the page instead of displaying a confirmation message like it always has. I know 100% it’s related to something with your theme. Can you please help me understand what it could be.

UPDATE: wow, ok, well the one plugin I had initially refused to deactivate to help solve the above (W3 Cache) turned out to be the cause of both problems! Anyways, looks like it’s all fixed, but do you guys know why W3 Cache caused these issues?
Strangely enough, it also prevented the sticky menu from working, but it now does!
I think there is some help in the docs on how to setup cache with theme properly; most importantly disable any/all “minification” features, if applicable as that usually breaks javascript.

Unfortunately W3 total Cache created more and more issues with our theme so we now recommend WP Super cache as it is much more stable than the previous one. Unfortunately plugins will do that as they get updated. Code changes and conflicts can appear from plugins that previously worked with our theme.
