Hi!

Earlier I posted my problem about the big slide title style.

“I’m using a big slide on my homepage: http://luikenkarstens.nl/declercq/ But I want to change the (title) style to this: https://elnotarissen.nl/

It seems like the option to change the style is no longer there.”

You answered this:

“Hi,

Yes, unfortunately in newspaper version 6 that block title style option isn’t available anymore but it can be achieved trough custom css.

Set a block title for your slide and open a new topics on our forum: https://forum.tagdiv.com/ provide a link or the connect of these conversation and we will give the right custom css code to get that design.

Thanks for the message!

Lucian C. tagDiv”

Can you please give me the right custom css code?

Hello,

You can use this css to style the block title:
.td_uid_3_568fa6ae3f95b_rand .block-title span, .td_uid_3_568fa6ae3f95b_rand .td-trending-now-title, .td_uid_3_568fa6ae3f95b_rand .block-title a, .td_uid_3_568fa6ae3f95b_rand .td-read-more a{
background-color: transparent !important;
color: #444444 !important;
padding-left: 0px;
padding-bottom: 3px !important;
padding-top: 0px;
display: inline-block;
}

If you want to adjust the title font you can use this code:

.td_uid_3_568fa6ae3f95b_rand h4{
font-weight:bold;
font-size:16px
}

I hope this helps.
Thank you!

Hello,
Please check the custom css in your theme panel as there may be an open tag in there that prevents the code from applying to your block title. Please provide a screenshot so we can take a look and see if there is something that could impact the code.
Thank you!

Oh wow I see what you mean. I’m sorry for wasting your time but we misunderstood each other a little bit.

I want it to look like this: http://luikenkarstens.nl/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/elnotaris.jpg

Can you give me a code for that as well?

Hi,

Good thing we figured it out and we can adjust it accordingly. Please try this code:
.td_block_slide .entry-title>a{
background-color:rgba(30, 115, 190, 0.7)!important
}
result: http://screencast.com/t/mcAyWl7Blnl

Thanks.

Amazing we’re getting somewhere!Thank you so much 🙂
Last question, is it possible to have a little extra padding around the text see: http://luikenkarstens.nl/declercq/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/padding.jpg

Post count: 22421

Hello,
Please use this custom css to add the extra padding:

.td_block_slide .entry-title>a {
    padding-left: 10px;
    padding-right: 10px;
}

If you also want to change the padding to the top and bottom of the text you can add padding-top and padding-bottom to the code and add your desired value in pixels.
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
