Excel Table Formatting Not Working/Error in WordPress 4.4.1

Hi guys,

Hopefully you could help me on this one.
I tried copying excel data to wordpress in text/visual tab but it didn’t work. My prime suspect is WP 4.4.1 Clifford.

I always get this format and not the rich format with borders and line:

Is this an error because of the NewsMag theme too?

How can I fix this one?

Hi

I’ve also test this on my side and get the same behavior, even with a default theme. I am afraid that this is a dis-functionality from WordPress as the theme doesn’t control the editor, it only apply some style on it. You can try to use a plugin which allow you to add tables, you can check this link for more details: https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/tips-tricks/creating-advanced-html-tables-in-wordpress-using-plugins However I can’t make any recommendation in this regard as we didn’t test this plugins and I don’t know how they will work with our theme but you can try them and use the one which fits you best.

Thanks for the help. For now I will use the html tab side to edit and add new tables.
