Hello, I have searched this on the forums, but all I can find are people posting the same or similar question with no answer from the tagdiv team or solution. I want to take out the slight gradients they have on the images on the grids and posts. I also want it not to zoom in when the mouse if over the image when you want to click on a post. Can anyone help me take out the gradient and just center the images on the big grids??? Been trying with no solution. Thanks

Hello doshi751,

If you want to remove your Big Grid gradient, please consult this topic from our forum -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-remove-the-gradient-from-the-slider/ and if you want to get rid of the zoom in when the mouse if over the image you have to set it from Theme panel->Template settings->Lazy Load, like this-> http://screencast.com/t/9qFQDeQHU

Hope this helps!

Thank you for thew message!

Hello

I know I am late, but thank you very much! I also have another question, how do I center the images in the blocks and grids. They cut off on the bottom and I do not want that to happen. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I am clueless when it comes to these things (but your theme is helping out lots in making it easier!) and I can’t seem to find an answer in the forums.

Thanks!

Hello doshi751,

Our theme uses a lot of predefined thumbnails in blocks and modules. If you check the Theme panel->Block settings area you can see the list with all dimensions of the thumbs wich is used in the theme and which elements -> blocks/modules uses -> http://screencast.com/t/tQuimSer9 If you want to exclude the cropping system wich you have to use the right dimension for your images.

Our theme uses the system of cropping from center to top. The theme uses thumbs to reduce the page size and speed up page loading time. From each image uploaded are generated thumbs for each thumb size used by the theme. Basically, when a post it’s displayed on the page in a block, the featured image displayed is not the one which you uploaded in the media file, it’s a thumb cropped from the original image at the precise dimension. To change the picture orientation most likely you will need a different cropping system. We use a WordPress function – add_image_size() – you can read about it here – https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_image_size – and here – http://www.davidtan.org/wordpress-hard-crop-vs-soft-crop-difference-comparison-example/
Our theme crop (cut) thumbnails in some cases to avoid creating a lot of thumbnails in order to reduce to load more spaces on the server.
If you don’t have the possibility to upload large images you could use a combination of plugins to upscale the thumbs – Thumbnail Upscale and Force Regenerate.

Hope this helps!
