js_composer how to migrate deprecated CTA buttons and content?

We have a huge number of posts use the older deprecated CTA buttons from the older version of WP Baker Visual Composer(js_composer) under Newspaper 4. We’ve now upgraded to v6.6.4 + 4.9 of js_composer. Is there any way to script or mass migrate the old content and buttons into new ones? Having to change this to 100’s of posts would be a nightmare.

Hi,

Unfortunately I cannot provide a full solution for this, as those buttons are apart of VC and they changed the shortcodes, these elements are not customized by the theme. But you could try to search and replace (on database) the old shortcodes with the new ones, you can find and use a plugin for this. Please make a full backup of you database first – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
