Ctrl + Zoom with mouse wheel not working in Chrome

Hi,

I noticed this issue with my website, when I press Ctrl + Mouse wheel to zoom in or zoom out it’s not working in Chrome. Only works when pressing the Ctrl & +/- keys. With the other sites, I can zoom without problems with the mouse wheel.

Just wanted to know if this is normal behaviour 🙂

Thank you very much for your time and have a nice day!

Hello,
This is not the default behavior of the browser. If you did not make the modification yourself, then something is creating this issue. Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and check again. It might be a plugin related issue.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!

Hi,

I did it but still not working. Although on Firefox the website behaves like it should be and I can zoom without problems with the mouse wheel and ctrl key. I also tested other websites with newspaper /newsmag con Chrome, and on some of them the zoom also does not work, like for example (exactly the same issue I have):

http://aquaticmag.com/

http://ncultura.pt/

So I don’t know what causes this issue on Chrome, but is really strange because sometimes I can zoom until one point, and after that the function just stops working and the wheel starts scrolling instead of zooming the page.

Can you please take a look at it one more time? My site is: http://www.cronicasgeek.com

Thank you very much!

Might be problem with Chrome. Be sure to clear your cache/history in Chrome from time to time. Make sure it’s updated to latest version.

Hey Chris,

I cleared my Chrome history and cachĂ©, but the problem is still there. With the other two websites I shared above it’s also happening.

Very strange I must say, it has to do something with Chrome for sure.

Best regards,

Elvis.

Hello,
I have checked this more and found the cause of the “issue”. It is the smooth scroll effect that was created for chrome that causes it. If you deactivate the smooth-scroll then the mouse zoom will work again. http://screencast.com/t/QI2KrBuxtozK
Thank you.
