Important caution to those still using “old” versions of Newspaper — be sure to do a full site audit and make sure all your files are fully updated for all the past 16 months of major WP security patches. Even if you’re running WP 4.4.1 — that doesn’t mean the theme/plugins from 2 years ago are secure now.
One of my friend’s running NP 2.12 just had his website hacked this week … title tags changed to
<title>National News | Hacked By Indonesian Intelegent Security !</title>
and generating errors top of pages
