Where do I change/update the Search functionality on the site. I need it to search other parts of the server, etc…cant find it anywhere…

The function wich creates our live search it could be found in td_data_source.php like this -> http://screencast.com/t/pRzN8DgOjMAs because that is the feature of our theme and the normal search, can be controlled with some hook methods wich you have to add it in function.php file, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/afr6SBRMmA in the bottom of the page.
