I searched the knowledge base for this: one Newspaper license, multiple install.
But I could not find exactly the answer to my dilemma: can I use an existing license to install Newspaper in a sub directory (on same domain of course), like http://www.tagdiv.com/subdir/, and point a sub domain to that sub directory (like subdir1.tagdiv.com -> http://www.tagdiv.com/subdir/ ? Do I need another license (want to make sure).

Normally the Envato policy allows using a theme only on one install. You can, however, use the theme on a sub-domain if you plan on creating a testing site, but if we are talking about totally different sites with different content, then only one theme per install is legally allowed: http://screencast.com/t/NqzloVgyUJB. In your case, it’s about the same domains and you have not to buy our theme again.
