We want to move our current website guten-tach.de to another server. its a huge site with a lot of posts (about 5.000).
We set up a new server, installed a new WP and installed the theme. Now we tried to Export/Import the current WP Site with the integrated tool of WP.
When we now try to import this xml file, all of the featured images of the posts are missing.
We move the site to another and installed a new WP because of a broken WP site. The current WP Site causes so much server errors that we have to do this.
So my question ist how can we integrate all of the posts and pages with all featured images and moduls?

Please make sure that you follow the steps indicated in WordPress official documentation regarding this process: https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress Also some very useful informations can be found in this tutorial here: https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/wordpress/transfer-wordpress/ Please consider that you have to import the old database and all your old files from the old server to the new one. The featured image information are stored in a field from database so in order to be displayed you need to complete the import step correct.
