Never mind I found the solution to my problem. I clicked the Welcome Tab in Theme Settings, then clicked on Predefined Styles and found fashion.

to use a background image you need to set the template of the page to be: http://screencast.com/t/xZ7xozqDaV (Homepage – Bg …) then choose and image : http://screencast.com/t/KP4cHjYoH8BS
