Bug: YouTube missing player buttons in Firefox

I’ve been noticing an issue over the last several days where YouTube videos I have embedded as a featured video are missing player buttons. The play/pause button, settings, CC, etc.

Here is a screenshot: https://i.gyazo.com/c75a22653b0142466e0292bee8cb670b.jpg

The video player is perfectly fine in Chrome and Internet Explorer. Only Firefox seems to be affected. I did some troubleshooting and I think the problem has to do with Newspaper dropping HTTPS from the YouTube URL. If I use web developer tools to change the iframe source to use HTTPS instead of HTTP, the buttons are visible.

Can the theme be updated to respect featured videos that use HTTPS?

Edit:

I see that td_video_support.php is supposed to respect http/https. But for some reason this does not seem to be happening.

Screenshot of the URL I am putting into the featured video input: https://i.gyazo.com/f025a24bb3734bc7a1399a93fa3815f3.png

HTML that is actually being generated: https://i.gyazo.com/1a0afc5f0412656ee280e5e904eddd61.png

Hello sunkast,

I have checked your website and I saw the issue with your embed video for Firefox. It is strange…I have added this bug in our list of fixes and it will be fixed in the future updates. Also, I saw that your videos are old and maybe, in the meantime, URL Youtube have changed from HTTP to HTTPS and you have remained to HTTP.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thank you for the message!
