to follow up, anything UNDER 50kb can be uploaded, which makes no sense whatsoever.

Might be something that changed with WP 4.2.2 — likely good to double check your php upload settings for your hosting account as this sometimes resets with a server update (meaning the max file size upload).

Try uploading from media manager vs from a post. That is “outside” the theme.

Make sure you have enough RAM allocated to WP, meaning at least 96MB vs default 40MB.

Make sure you’re not using a conflicting plugin, or something that tries to post the image to external location or something (e.g., CDN, Jetpack, etc.).

You need to adjust your WordPress settings to allow uploading larger files i.e 1M and/or above. I don’t think this is a theme issue. You should check this out, it may help: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-set-a-maximum-upload-size-for-images-in-wordpress/

my wordpress is set up to the maximum upload allowable at 64MB so it isn’t that at all.

In troubleshooting I have found where the issue is coming from but no resolution for the issue. In the theme Panel under Block Settings then Thumbs on Modules and Blocks, if they are all checked on, I can’t upload. when I turn them off, I can upload with no problem however it messes up each image and they look horrible in my layout. is there a way to fix this?

In addition I found a workaround. If I go into my media library and do a list view. when i refresh, the image that failed shows up but grayed out. if I then click regenerate thumbnails there and go back to grid view, the image shows up and I can then select it from my media library. I am sure you can understand why this is less then ideal when trying to do posts for a site that I update many times per day. I do think this is some sort of a bug in the template.

Hello,
This issue can be resolved if you set your system status parameters correctly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Please check this section of the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/UMTNEysROA
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
