Problem with custom CSS

I have the theme style modified by CSS, but now I have some problems with customs CSS.
Some custom CSS dont work.

Example: If I put a different color in .meta-info my new color doesn’t appears. I have to modified style.css to getting this color.

And other problem is when I have my theme with changed fonts and color grey. But when I join to my website the first 1-2 seconds I see blue theme color and original fonts, like the demo.

What happens?

In my prev post I had a problem with css in bbpress, and you recommend me to upload all files via FTP to solve it. I solve my problem with forum, but I’ve new problems now.

Often the “flash of unstyled text” (FOUT), where you see one color, then the over-ride is due to a slight time delay between original style sheet loading, and then your over-ride being written in header (if using theme panel CSS over-rides, vs editing the actual theme stylesheet in core files).

Basically elements are loading in order by the browser for speed (‘enqueued’), but what happens is the
> base CSS loads
> theme files load
> theme panel over-rides in header for custom styles

if there is any latency in loading, you may see split second with stock CSS, before the custom over-rides happen.

Not sure that helps, just some info.

Thanks Cristopher. That you says has sense, but I’m using this theme some months before with custom css and I’ve never seen this happens.

I’ve always seen it as my style loaded directly, without any kind of flash of the original.

And before when I use custom css to replace some styles works fine. Now, the example that I told you before. The first meta-info is the original, the second is that I want to replace. But when I join to my website I only see the original. And the second appears when I inspect the element, like this:

.meta-info {
font-family: ‘Ubuntu’,sans-serif;
color: #CBCBCB;
font-size: 12px;
}
.meta-info {
font-family: ‘Roboto’;
color: #4B4B4B;
}

Some elements of my custom css works fine. But others, like this .meta-info, don’t work. I don’t know why.

Thanks again

Hnm. Weird. No suggestion on that one.
I’m trying to figure out with IE10/11 — some days the 400 weight font of Open Sans won’t load off the CDN, and some days it does. So annoying to suddenly see ALL the text on page in 600 weight.

Always something!

If only happens with IE10/11 I would not be so worried.

But it happens with all browsers and before reupload all theme files via FTP this never happened.

I’m waiting if Marius or Radu can clarify this.

Thanks again Christopher

Hi,
Please show me a screenshot with what you want to make and doesn’t work. Do you want to change the data color? Try with !important you can inspect the CSS and see how the style are more precise in computed CSS.

Give me a CSS that doesn’t work for you to inspect it.
Thanks!
