the mega menu don´t appear on the main menu.
“Make this a category mega menu” is selected.
Any Ideas?

Please provide a link to your website so we can inspect the issue.
What you can try to do is disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it to rule out a plugin conflict.

before we switch to this Theme we use to have a different Thmeme with a megamenu-Plugin. I deactivate this Plugin after we activate Newspaper.

I have checked your website and saw another problem besides the meg-menu. Your sub-menus do not work properly as well. They seem to disappear after a few hovers. Please disable ALL your plugins except visual composer. Plugins often create conflicts and problems such as this. You will need to identify the conflicting plugin but first you need to disable all of them to see if there is a conflict. Check your menu with only visual composer active.
