Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn’t find a definitive answer.
What is the widest ad that can be fitted into the main body of a post on Newspaper (on a desktop), assuming I am running a sidebar? It looks like it is just a bit too narrow to fit a 728×90 ad unit.
I am currently running Newsmag, but the max column with is only about 620px, which means I am missing out on revenue by not being able to place 728×90 ads (best-paying ad size on AdSense) inline. AdSense/Newsmag will responsively use a 468×60 ad instead, but this format does not pay very well.

As you can see in our documentation, the widest ad that can be fitted on Newspaper is 729*90 px -> http://screencast.com/t/AttKglDQ and you can adjust the values size for your Google Ad Sense from Theme panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/Qx4UID14Di -> the same settings you find them on Newsmag.
If is not what you mean, please provide more details about your problem so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

If that’s the case, then it is worth me switching from Newsmag to Newspaper, as I can probably recoup the cost of the theme with a few months’ worth of increased revenue.
You should highlight the ability to include 728×90 inline ads in your demos, as it would be very beneficial to lots of potential customers and potentially get you more sales.

Actually Catalin, I’ve just had another look at that screengrab on a desktop rather than on my iPad, and it looks like the ad you have shown is for a full-width page, not for a page/post with sidebar.
I need to know if I can fit a 728×90 ad into a post (inline) on a post with a sidebar, and it looks like that’s not possible. The images your demos use are all 696px wide.
Or have I got it wrong?

Unfortunately, if you want to have the sidebar to your posts, the recommended size for your Ads is 696px wide, otherwise, the ad will look like -> http://screencast.com/t/mqaT919sRTH In this case, you should change the width and we do not recommend this because you can break the layout of the site. For a better result, is required a lot of additional customizations and we cannot do this because we do not provide custom services at the moment, sorry!
If you want to display more levels in this regard and you are not aware the steps, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to implement this for you!

Thanks Catalin. If you guys are planning a new theme anytime soon, it’s worth keeping in mind. I’d like to have all the features of Newspaper and Newsmag in a wider format (1200px), and I’m sure that plenty of others would as well.

Thank you for your suggestion. I have added this to our list of the future update but unfortunately, we cannot say for sure if it will get done in the next update because it is not a simple task and also, we have a big list of fixes, improvements and suggestions to implement. It’s hard to filter them and select which one gets implemented now and which one gets postponed. The developers will decide if it gets done or not, though.
