Remove newspaper.woff?8 File

Hi, i already removed the google fonts with your help –> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/remove-google-fonts/#post-96617

Now i will remove the …newspaper.woff?8 FILE. I dont use any icon…OR ist this essential or for what is this file…?

I believe that is the icons font; a trimmed version of FontAwesome.

Hello,
Unfortunately this file is needed by the theme as most icons are loaded as a font for example the icons in the theme panel, the icons for social networks etc. We do not recommend removing this file.

hi, i dont use any icon in the frontend… also no wapp icon. Can you tell me a way how i can remove / deque or deregister it from the front? Would be awesome

Icons are used for social media bugs, arrows, search eyeglass, top of page chevron, etc.

Hi,
Every file in our theme is used by the theme. There are no extra files that do not have any functionality and they simply exist to take up the disk space. The .woff font file is used by the theme on different browsers so removing it will cause fonts/icons to not work properly on certain browser versions. You can try to remove the newspaper.woff file or you can try to remove this part form the css if you really want to: http://screencast.com/t/7SwMgWe7 but we cannot guarantee this will not cause problems in the future. The theme works best if all the file system is intact.
