Unable to register via tagDiv Login form

I can’t log on via tagDiv Login Form. A user doesn’t get a password though the account itself is created. I’ve already tried various mailm accounts and I get the same problem. Any suggestions guys? Thanks for help in advance.

check out Settings -> General , there is Membership setting that should be CHECKED for anyone to register.

can you disable all the plugins and try again, there can be conflicts between plugins and the theme code.

After the update of the template (version 3.8) I have had a problem with “register/log in” button via tagDiv Login Form. I mean when you insert the username and password and subsequently click “log in” there is no response. Previously I’ve also had the problem because of this plugin, and still I can’t register. Do you have any suggestions? In addition, my website doesn’t have many plugins which could possibly cause such errors. I use e.g. ( WordPress SEO, Plugin Organizer, tagDiv Speedbooster, tagDiv Social Counter, Regenerate Thumbnails, WpProQuiz, Compact Audio Player, bbPress, Wp Super Cache, JetPack, Aksiment).
What’s more, this plugin has caused many “artificial attempts” to log in which naturally didn’t take place and due to that my hosting provider blocked my IP for some time. Is there any good solution so that my users could register/log in with the use of this plugin? I’d be more than grateful for your help 🙂

do a test,
install a fresh copy of wordpress and our theme on your computer (no plugins).
use xampp to have mysql and apache web server: https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html

try to see if it works on your computer.

Same problem.

With Newspaper 3.7 I was able to login.

No changes in my plugins.

Since Newspaper 3.8 update I cannot.

I’ve just created a fresh new install of “WP 3.9 / Newspaper 3.8 with Demo content” on this server.

The problem is the same with the Login Form:

• can Register
• but cannot Login (continus “Please wait…” message)

Unfortunately, it is the same for me. I can’t login with the modal box.
It says “Fatal error: Class ‘td_login’ not found in /home/www/a903c273d655e964bdf85e0e915548b8/web/helvetmag/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_ajax.php on line 183”

In the meantime, I installed WP Modal Login.

Any news for this problem?

I have just tested the log in modal window on my computer, it works.
the reason why I’m telling you to install a fresh copy of wordpress and our theme (no plugins) is to be sure not to have conflicts between other plugins and the theme.

lancelot if you have “Fatal error: Class ‘td_login’ ….” your theme is incomplete or you have modify something.

Hum, I didn’t modify something. But maybe something went wrong during the last update (to 3.8). I will try to re-install it.

I’m having the same issue. So, as you instructed, I setup xampp on my computer with php 5.5 and installed a fresh WordPress 3.9 and Newspaper 3.8.

If there is a plugin conflict causing this then it’s a plugin Newspaper is made to work with.

you need to have a plugin that helps wordpress to send the email.

you can try this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ .

You can set the following options:
Specify the from name and email address for outgoing email.
Choose to send mail by SMTP or PHP’s mail() function.
Specify an SMTP host (defaults to localhost).
Specify an SMTP port (defaults to 25).
Choose SSL / TLS encryption (not the same as STARTTLS).
Choose to use SMTP authentication or not (defaults to not).
Specify an SMTP username and password.

We made a new fresh install of WordPress and Newspaper 3.8 (directly downloaded from CodeCanyon) and the problem still persists (“Fatal error: Class ‘td_login’ not found”).

Cannot LOGIN or REGISTER via this form on a production install with various plugins, Apache server, php 5.4, WP 3.9, Newspaper 3.8.
Cannot LOGIN or REGISTER via this form on test install on xampp with WP 3.9, Newspaper 3.8, Apache server and php 5.5 and ONLY the plugins that the Newspaper plugin installer asks for and WP Mail SMTP setup.

I’m glad it’s working for you Radu, it just doesn’t matter. You have proof it’s not working for us…

I don’t care about registrations but the logging in part is important.

@Lancelot, what host do you use? I run Host Gator and am having this issue. No error but no function either.

@Kronos17 we use a shared web hosting service based in Switzerland (Infomaniak). We are almost ready to go into production ^^ But since this update to 3.8, the modal login widget doesn’t work anymore. Unfortunately, the only thing we can see, is the fatal error returned by Firebug.
I will try to make a clean install on the productive environnement to see if it’s working or not.

So, (it is me again!), I’ve just downloaded a new version of WordPress and a new version of Newspaper and installed all the files on another host and the problem persists.
