Authors box

Hello

I cannot get Include or exclude author ID to work in the box set up by neither VP or as widget. And I dont use them at the same time. I would like to exclude admin and proberbly some others more over time.

Is there a reason, this dos not work ? Only way it works is not doing anything, but then it shows all user.

I am not sure I understand your issue but I assume that you ant to exclude posts published by a specific author from a block. If this is not what you mean please provide more details about what you’re trying to do so I can duplicate the situation on my side and get back to you with a more accurate answer.

I did not explain my self good enough…

No, I have an author box, thats fine and it works
But the author box shows every user registered, but I only have 2 authors.

SO I want the author box to only show the authors and NOT users.

How can I do this, I mean a site can have thousands of user.

Thanks for reporting this. I’ve made some testes on mi side and seems that the theme display in authors box every registered user without checking if have or not an author role. We will change this implementation in next theme update.

Can You tell me, how it works, now You have made changes for Author box ?
It looks like, You have updated possibility, to only use “real” authors in Author box, and not just registered users. Cant see however, how it should work though..:-)

We didn’t changed anything yet as the last theme update was released only to fix the jQuery conflict that appeared after last wp update. The theme works the same way as before.
We will inspect this and will try to find a solution in future theme updates.

Any update on this? Is there a temporary fix? Still having issues with version 3.2. Cannot include or exclude certain authors.
