Thumbnail-Reg

I used the thumbnail reg, however now regret it. Is there anyway to reverse this? And if not at least anyway to revert back to how my featured images used to be? i.e. show the full image rather than this new cropped version.

Ideally you should have back-up of all your images, as standard practice before installing anything or running any plugin which changes content.

However, you can simply re-run the regenerate thumbnail plugin to the sizes you were using before. But read the help info that comes with the plugin as it describes the best way to use it, how to “un-use” it and so forth.

I believe the “cropped” setting is in the theme panel; so you should “uncheck” that, and then re-run the thumbnail regen plugin to see if that fixes things.

It’s also useful to set the default small, medium, large settings in the main wordpress > settings > media … to limit number of thumbs actually built.

If the files are too big (in KBs) you can also use my hack in the functions.php file (search forum) to reduce the file sizes created by about 40%.

Hi,

@jadmac
is everything ok now? That plugin crop the images at the size required by each module/block. All that sizes are defined in function.php here: http://screencast.com/t/fRFBmozIS if you want to change the size to a desired aspect ratio.
