I’m having a little trouble setting up the Author box element. Is there a link to a tutorial? I looked around and couldn’t find it. For example, where do I find the author ID? Is there a number in the Users file? I couldn’t find one. Also, what does this mean, under Extra Class: “Style particular content element differently – add a class name and refer to it in custom CSS”? Thanks so much.

Great. Thank you!

Ok, great! I’d like to hide the one category “Gallery” on all of the posts, and in the blocks. I want it to be visible on the category pages, and that is all…for it to be hidden everywhere else. Thanks!

Also, in addition to that css name, I have a question: I see in your link above (https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/author-box/)…are these examples of additional author cards? I notice that the pictures are round and larger. How can I create this instead of using the rectangle author box with the standard thumbprint picture?

I notice that it only happens on the home page…when clicking any of the other pages, there is no jump, but go back to home, and it jumps.

Thanks for this…it helped. Now I just have to do the same to adjust the size of the author url. What is the custom css name for the author url? Thanks!

Hi…could you please tell me where in the WordPress Dashboard I can access the file that you have in the screenshot? Thanks.

Where do I get access to that code to change it? Is there a way to do it in the Custom Code section of the theme panel?

Thanks for your help. Let’s zero in on the task of getting the font of the author card to be the same as the rest of the site. I notice that when I go to the theme panel, I can indeed adjust the font and size, but the author card on the author’s page remains the same. How can this be fixed?
Here…the author card at the end of a post: http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com/this-weeks-featured-artist-tim-carr-talks-photography-and-24-hours-in-havana/

That removes the Author’s name. I only want to remove the comment count from the author’s block on the author’s page here: http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com/author/audrey-woodhams/. For example, it says “3 Posts” and “O Comments” but I want to remove the “O Comments” item. How can I do this? Thanks!

Also, is there code to do this for Block 18 and/or Slide? Thank you!

Ok…can I use css to limit the size of the container? The problem is, my image isn’t showing the desired sharpness and quality on the full logo header. When the size of the container is limited, it compresses the image and I get a higher quality. Can you give css to fix this? Thanks!

Can I do this for just the desktop and not the ipad or phones?

Thanks for your response! How can I change the color of the category tags…all of them…with css?

Hello! My current site is here: http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com/. I am using Homepage Post and would like for the image to not be so tall, so that the title of the post can be seen without scrolling down so far. Is this possible?

Here is my current site using Logo Style 7: http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com/

The problem I am having is this: When I put in a logo that is the proper size, it is not clearly legible. When I add the retina logo (I am working on a macbook pro with a retina screen) the logo simply gets bigger. It doesn’t compress to make the logo image sharper as it does with the previous logo styles. Thanks for your help.

I was not aware that installing a demo would limit my ability to customize the webpage. Do you have a recommendation to uninstall the demo so that I will have more options to customize? I would like to keep most of the settings, that I currently have, but want more ability to customize. Thanks.

Yes, I know that my blog titles are not in caps. I am not talking about post titles. I am referring to the Block Title. I know how to use the block settings. When I put in “Latest Posts” it always displays “LATEST POSTS” on my webpage.

Again, I notice at your page (https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-13/) that your block headlines (ie. Block 13 – on 2 columns) is not in all caps. However, on my page (http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com/) my Block Titles are always in all caps (to see this, scroll to the middle and see “LATEST POSTS”). Can you direct me to a way that I can correct this?

You have not addressed the issue with Style 7: Logo Style 7 is not compressing the logo image, it is not legible, and it is too wide which forces the main menu down creating too much white space…as you can see here: http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Logo-style-7.jpg.

Secondly in Logo Style 7, I would like to remove the fade at the bottom of Style 7 and replace it with a line. Do you have code that will do this?

Logo Styles 9, 10, and 11 are too tall…I would like to have the menu to the right of my logo as it is in Logo Style 7.

Thanks.

Ok, this is my website in progress: http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com

This is a screenshot of my website when I use Logo style 7: http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Logo-style-7.jpg

This is a screenshot of my website when I use Logo style 8: http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Logo-style-8.png You can see that the date, logo, and main menu are not left aligned with each other.

Secondly, the sizes for the logo images that I am using in both examples above are: Logo 331×51, Retina Logo 497×78. You can see that Logo Style 8 is compressing the logo…it is legible but too small and there is too much surrounding white space. Conversely, Logo Style 7 is not compressing the logo image, it is not legible, and it is too wide which forces the main menu down creating too much white space.

Also, in Logo 7, I would like to remove the fade below the menu and replace it with a grey line (as is possible in Logo 1). Question: Where can I chose the color for the lower in line in Logo Style 1?

Thanks so much for your help!

Thanks for your response. Where would I enter the code for the read more buttons to be rounded?
For the headlines…I notice in this link (https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-13/) that your block headlines (ie. Block 13 – on 2 columns) is not in all caps. However, on my page (http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com/) these headlines are always in all caps (to see this, scroll to the middle and see “LATEST POSTS”). I cannot find a way to correct this. While we’re here, could you also show where to make the block with a custom color? Thank you!
