Hi,

Hello all,
First of all, please check your system status and please make sure if your parameters are increased to the higher values, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ So, please ensure that you have the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.0.1) and also, your plugins are updated to the latest version of them. Also, please try to use only the plugin that comes bundled with our theme to rule out the conflicting plugins which could appear in this process.
So, if you want to make your website to be so faster, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ Please notice that these customizations addresses only for advanced users and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you in this regard (to make your website faster).
Hope this helps!
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi Catalin,
1) My WP Memory Limit is 40 MB so I need to increase the space manually, but I don’t know where to find the wp-config.php file??
In the editor? I didn’t see the files there??
Can you help?
Thank you
Hello yachtsailingcharter,
Basically, you need to edit a few files and change a few values here and there. It’s not that complicated. This task does not require coding knowledge. You simply have to edit 2 files with a text editor (notepad++ is free) and edit or insert a few pieces of text. You will need to know how to copy and paste and type in a few things.
You will need to edit 2 files for this task: The first one is wp-config.php and the other is php.ini.
You can find wp-config.ini in the main WordPress installation folder.
In the wp-config.php you have to add this line to the bottom of the code:
define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’64M’ );
That’s it with this file. You now need to edit the php.ini file. This can be found in different places depending on your hosting provider. If you cannot locate it, please contact your hosting to let you know where you can find it.
In the php.ini file, you have to edit a few numbers.
search for these entries and replace them with the corresponding values. They should look like this:
max_input_vars = 5000
max_execution_time = 300
post_max_size = 50M
If this does not help you on your task, then you will need to get someone to help you.
Thank you!
It seems very complicated to me for the moment, but I can try:)
Can you just send me a screenshot of the place to find the wp-config.php, please?
I don’t find it. The only place I see is the editor , which I only found plugins files.
I also have checked my website speed in the Pingdom tool and there is only 900 KB for the moment? Is that OK? I think there are enough spaces left in the WP memory.
Thank you again
Hello yachtsailingcharter,
This file is located in the main WordPress installation, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/OXBjnIUGcBs Also, please notice that you will have to do it via FTP. If you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because this implementation is not covered by our support and it is not theme related.
Thanks.
Can my hosting company help? If not can you suggest a freelancer?
Thank you

Hi Niresh
My hosting company has increased the space in the wp-config, now the only thing that I need to do is to add a caching plugin.
Can you tell me wich plugin do you use?
Thank you
I was using zen cache on my precedent theme and I really liked it. I have tried the W3 Total cache, but this plugin wasn’t compatible with the theme I was using. I would like to try it though with the newspaper.
Can you send me a screenshot of the way you have set the W3 total cache so I can try it?
Thank you
