Hi – trying to customize my sidebars by category.

The last option says “If you don’t choose any sidebar for your post, this will use the sidebar from his category.”
I have a sidebar to use for Summer Events and I have a post category called “summer events”. I enabled the sidebar at the category level, but it only shows on the archive pages. I want that sidebar to show on all posts in the summer events category – is there a way to do this besides editing each individual post?

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option for Events, sorry! I suppose that you are using a plugin with this functionality to bring the Events feature for our theme, right? So, please notice that we do not have any plugins recommendation in this regard and we have no idea about theme’s behaviour with this type of plugin and we cannot say for sure if it will work as properly with our theme. Also, please notice that we cannot provide support for untested plugins.
Please notice that if you want to use this type of plugin, you will have to adjust the theme for better results in this case and this involve custom work. If you are not aware of the steps which you are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!

This has nothing to do with any plugin. I have a sidebar I created and I want it to show on every post in a specific category. A regular post category. Not just the category archive. How?

Please notice that our theme has been designed when sets a sidebar(custom sidebar) for a certain category from the theme panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/Fv82v5tr4Jd please notice that all the posts which are included in this category will have that sidebar.

I have create a sidebar – it’s called SideBar X.
In Theme Panel, Categories, Per Category Settings, Category X, CUSTOM SIDEBAR + POSITION, I have selected SideBar X.
Sidebar X ONLY shows on the Category X Archive page. It does NOT show on every post in Category X.
I want Sidebar X on EVERY post in Category X.
Please don’t make me ask again – how do I get this to work?

Please keep in mind that if you have more than one category for your posts, please notice that you will have to set your desired category to be as PRIMARY that the theme to know what type of sidebar to be displayed, otherwise, you do not get the desired results. -> http://screencast.com/t/7z92KLGim Also, please clear all your caches and check the results.

I tested what you said – and the only way it works is if it is the ONLY category. If Category X is primary, but there are other categories, the custom sidebar doesn’t work. But if Category X is the ONLY category than it shows the correct sidebar.
Why is that? And can you fix it so it works correctly?
