I need a key, so I can update my version of Visual Composer. I’ve updated to the most recent theme version for Newspaper, and the steps in the current documentation to update are not working.

Dev team will provide new version of VC, i doubt they are providing personal license of CV to everyone with newspaper.

Please notice that if you want to have the latest tested version of the Visual Composer with our theme you must have the latest version of Newspaper (7.1.1) Also, for more information about Visual Composer updating, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ and please ensure that you have followed all the steps which are presented in that tutorial.
