Update to 3.0

If I rewrite all old files on server with new one in folder “patch_2.3.1_3.0” will it upgrade my theme to 3.0 or not?

Also, I will do it with plugins – ok?

Yes, basically if you replace old files with the ones from patch folder the update should be completed successfully.
