I installed the mobile theme on my website, it looks amazing and super happy with the look, but there are a couple of things that are not working now.
1) Any custom code i have inputted through the child theme is now not being loaded (I have overwritten the core mobile files in my child theme). Could this be something with the function.php not allowing me to overwrite the files?
2) On the homepage, half my content has gone missing. Does the mobile theme only allow for certain modules? And how may i be able to change this to get my content back (preferably without disabling the mobile theme plugin as speed and look is fantastic).

Hello,
The mobile theme is a different theme from the standard one and it will not behave the same. It will not work from the child theme and will not work with visual composer. We will improve the mobile theme with future versions of the theme but at the moment it will not work that way.

Will there be any customisation in future update, like child theme or VC?
I completely understand the optimisation, but i just don’t understand how you can take away VC from mobile when the theme content relies heavily on VC for layout.
I have installed the mobile plugin and lost half of my content.
I am working on a website that needs to go live to 300,000 monthly impressions next week. Are you able to give me a date of when this may be fixed? If not i am going to have to work on customising the mobile core files.

Hello,
There is no “fix” for this. The mobile theme was designed to work without visual composer. This is the main feature of the mobile theme. It does not rely on the heavy page builder that slows down page speed.
Visual composer will not be added to the mobile theme as it will defeat it’s purpose. If you do not want to use the mobile theme and create content for mobile without visual composer,m you can always disable the plugin and use the standard responsive version for mobile.

Thanks for explaining this to me. Is there still ways to be able to display content that is used by visual composer in the template files for the mobile theme (for example, a page that displays certain content, by creating a specific template?)
When reverting back from mobile theme, which i have done a couple of times. It throws the container for the page, therefore when i scroll down, my content can be swiped right and just displays the background.
I do want to use the mobile theme as i think it looks and loads amazingly, so if there is a way of customisation through page templates, that would be great.

Unfortunately there is no option at the moment to add blocks to your pages on mobile. We will try to include more options in the mobile theme including a few blocks without using visual composer but we have no eta on this yet unfortunately. It is a work in progress. At the moment you will have to use the standard MCE editor for pages.
If you are comfortable around coding, you can try to alter the mobile theme files. There is a folder called ‘mobile’ in the main theme folder where you will find the page template files.
