I installed Tech News when I go over to the pages and edit the News Page I get the code in the visual tab. How can I visual edit this?

There is no issue there. You simply need to enter the visual composer builder like so: http://screencast.com/t/ZYvZQ9GRqsx7 and you will have access to the visual composer blocks and options.

Just trying to wrap my head around this. I clicked the Visual Composer Backend Editor and Visual Composer blocks and options are at the bottom. I noticed that this not how it looks in the tutorial videos. http://screencast.com/t/gd4bJ2KE

That is a new element that was no present in the videos. It is the second editor for the mobile theme. If you use the mobile theme plugin: http://screencast.com/t/tJTYnwGe there will be a second editor (the first one) called a mobile editor. This is destined for creating mobile versions of your pages without the use of visual composer as the mobile theme does not use visual composer.
