The visual composer is not working. please advise

Please notice that the plugins will not be automatically updated. Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newsmag 3.0), downloaded from Theme Forest because this packet comes bundled with the latest version of required plugins ->Visual Composer 4.11.2 and Social Counter 4.1. Please try to update all of these, using the FTP method because this is the surest method in this regard. You can download lat theme version available on themeforest and in Newsmag-tf/plugins folder it’s included V 4.12 of Visual Composer plugin. Call me crazy; but adding a section/tab in the theme panel “update plugins” might be useful to explain these same topics that come up over and over (and over).
Info on installing optional plugs are there, but maybe links to “how to update” in forum would be good, too.
