After upgrading WordPress v4.5.3 & Newspaper 7.2 I’m facing issue with the Visual Composer..
What happen is, when I want to Add Element on the layout “Add Element” dialogue appears and selection of the any element didn’t work. It’s stays on the “Add Element” dialogue.
Please help me to fix this ASAP!
I tried by Deactivate and re-Activating the Plugins.. still remain same 🙁

I have the same problem. I have followed those instructions of the link that you posted but still its not working. A week ago I received email that saying there is a new version of VC 4.11.2 & Social Counter 4.1 but mine is VC 4.9 & SC is 3.1 and I have Newspaper 7 and I updated it by using Envanto Market Plugin. Also my child theme is still on v6 and I don’t know how to update it to v7. My website is zenji255.com

Well the problem is old versions of visual composer. The plugins do not update along with the theme. You have to update the plugin manually. Please follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ After you install the new version of visual composer, it will work again. Simply delete the plugin and install it again by using the files in the main theme archive.

Please try to understand me that I have already done all of those instructions but nothing happened still it says the VC is 4.9. I Updated my theme by using Envanto Market Plugin not by download the theme files.

@razakey, it’s very simple do the below steps hopefully works for you aswell:
1- Download fresh copy of the theme from Themeforest
2- Upload the theme using FTP and Extract it!
3- Now from WordPress activate the theme
4- Go to Plugins Deactivate “WPBakery Visual Composer” then Delete!
5- Extract your freshly downloaded theme file and look for js_composer.zip under > Newspaper\includes\plugins
6- Back to WordPress > Add Plugin > Upload > js_composer.zip
7- Activate the plugin and that’s it!
Your are DONE!
That’s how it works for me!

Your Visual Composer must be updated to the latest version 4.12 First of all, you will have to disable/delete the old plugin from your Theme panel and then install it the plugins from Premium Plugins. You can try the above steps.
