Default Search Page Broken

Hello,

I’m new to the Newspaper theme (7.3) and have a number of questions, please let me know if I should in the future break these into seperate topics.

A) It seems that the included version of Visual Composer is modified in different ways (no front end editor?), and I see that there is a customized set of Visual Composer templates included with the trial, 90% of them focused on home page layout. I have interest in building rich pages and have noticed that there are some templates for sale around the web, are there any that you recommend to users that would be compatible with the way Newspaper is coded?

B) The default search template on my site appears to be broken out of the box and still after the update to 7.3, with bizarre image behavior. Is this fixable or should I settle on a different module than M17?

C) The top of the featured image of the default post look is flush with the Main Menu Bar by default. I’m trying to accomplish the same look and feel with a Visual Composer built page, but I can’ seem to get rid of 40px of whitespace between elements and the menu bar above using the VC

D) Disable Google+ and Pinterest from social share?

E) Support for Multiple Authors?

F) Possibility of Prioritizing Categories for a post? This way I might be able to choose which single category gets displayed in a content block…

G) Any way of limiting posts displayed in a given block to only show ones that have a combination of different categories?

A) Yes indeed our theme removes the front-end part of Visual Composer’s page-builder because it’s not working properly with theme’s blocks. We also added 25 new blocks which works only with our theme. We don’t recommend any third-party plugins or additional ad-ons for our theme. The theme is tested and work fine only with Visual Composer plugin which is included in the path available o themeoforest. You can try additional software if you want but we can’t support it and also we can’t say how will work with Newspaper.
B) The theme is tested and search page works fine with any module used, including module 17. I am not sure why the page breaks on your site but you can try to deactivate all plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test again. If the problem persist please provide your site url so we can have a closer look.
C) We need site url for further investigations.
D) Try this css in theme panel > custom code > custom css:

.td-social-google, .td-social-pinterest {
display: none!important;
}

E) The theme uses default wp implementation for authors and there is no option which allows you to add multiple authors for a post. You can try a plugin with similar functionality but we didn’t made any tests in this regard and I can’t make any recommendation.
