Amend Front Page + Modules and Blocks
Hi guys.
I’m loving Newspaper – it’s perfect for the news site we’re bringing up. We’re getting close to Go Live and there’s a lot of excitement on the team.
I do have two questions, though.
The site is nexxtstep.jp, FYI.
1) There are some items the Front Page (nexxtstep.jp/main) that I would like to remove or manage. The World News menu under the primary top grid is not necessary. The other menu about halfway down needs to go away (Fashion | Sport | Music | World | Lifestyle), and the Video link near the bottom of the front page is not necessary. How do I manage these?
I have found controls to manage the top pages of other categories (Theme Panel -> Categories), but if I go to Theme Panel -> Categories -> Global or -> Featured, no matter what I do, nothing changes.
The other category items scattered across the page (currently, travel guides, tech, health, etc.) are useful, but I would like to control these, and change their name and content. Is that possible?
2) Modules and Blocks – How do I find out what modules correspond to what spaces on the page? Module 1 is where on the page – or how do I manage module location? What is the relationship between modules and blocks?
Basic questions, I’m sure, but your help on these points would be most appreciated.

1) The elements you mention are found on the page. You do not have to look in the theme panel for them but rather by editing the front page in visual composer from page edit. The world news menu is an ajax filter. it can be removed from the block settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
The second element further down the page is a tabs element that can be removed from the back-end as well only this is a full element not a setting as the world news menu.
2) A module is the base element used by our theme. A block is created out of 1 or more modules. A module can be used directly only on loop pages that means category pages, search results or the latest articles section on pages.
