Theme Panel > Ads > Header Ad

Hi,

Can you explain how I can get an Adsense Ad to appear in the header to the right of the Logo? This would be in a format like header style 1 – default with the blue menu bar at the top of the header and the black menu bar on the bottom of the header.

I got some help from my brother that does some coding to get the ad to appear there but it is stuck to the top or even cut off by the blue menu bar. So I’m looking for a solution from you guys since you should understand the mechanics of the theme better than my brother.

Best,

Josh

Hi Josh,

As I see it, header style 1 is best suited for you. You can simply change the colors from the theme panel and have it the way you want: blue top menu, logo on left adsense on the right of the logo and black menu below the logo and ad…like so: http://screencast.com/t/rwlnDnoQTLQc
There is no custom code needed for this.

Thank you!

Hi Bogdan,

I appreciate your quick response to my inquiry. I tried using header style 1 as you suggested prior to posting my initial post. That is pretty close to the format that I want. However, when I paste AdSense script into the header ad position in the theme panel the ad appears to the right of the logo but it is not inline with the logo. It gets stuck to the top of the area and is sometimes cut off.

I have tried adding padding and boarder in a div around the script but it won’t budge. Right now we changed some code for style 10 and put the logo and ad box into a table which is perfect except for it’s not a responsive fix and looks bad on mobile devices and tablets.

Can you help me with why the ad is not inline with the logo and why it is stuck to the top of the area and sometimes even cut off under the top menu bar? I’ve changed it back to style 1 so you can see what I mean.

Hello UHR,

I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using an old version of the theme with some untested plugins. Please try to update the theme to the latest version of it (Newspaper 7.3), update the Visual Composer to 4.12, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. If you want to bring high results with the theme, please notice that you should keep up with our updates. Also, please notice that the update of the theme will have to be made via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-documentation/ Also, before doing these steps, please make a full backup to your data according to the documentation here -> https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

Hope this helps!

Thanks.
