licence and upgrade problem

Hi,

I use newsmag both for http://www.alacatiplus.com and http://www.urbanista.com.tr

I have an themeforest account and I bought newsmag theme for alacatiplus by myself. And I have no problem about upgrades or new versions…

But urbanista was our first web site. And at that time our tech supporter bought the theme from his own themeforest account. He installed the theme and used licence code. But unfortunately we don’t work with him since then… And therefore I can’t do upgrades or something else..

What should we do?

Yes I have 2 valid licenses. Urbanista.com.tr has licence but it doesn’t do updates automatically.

By the way since 3-4 days it does’nt show anything on “update” site. There’s just a white screen on that part.
I can’t update wordpress either.

One more question: How can I update my theme with FTP?

Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again and check if the problem is still there.

I’ll upgrade the theme via ftp. But I have anothet question about that.

Will it ask me the license code again after I put the upgraded theme file in ftp.

Because I used the licence code once on http://www.urbanista.com.tr as my IT worker said to me. But I didn’t note the code somewhere I can find. And I can’t ask him cause we don’t see each other anymore. (as you know, he bought the theme for us)

What’s your suggestion?

The theme won’t ask the purchase code again after update, you don’t need to worry about this.
You’re using a very old version of Newsmag theme and if you update it you will need to re-build the pages made with Visual Composer as the shortcodes were changed.
Before making any changes in your site make sure you do a full backup to your current wp-install and the database also: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups This is a security measure, in case something goes wrong you can always get back to previous version.

I upgraded theme via ftp but now it says when you open the page: Fatal error: Call to undefined function vc_map_get_attributes() in /home/urbanista.com.tr/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/vc_templates/vc_row.php on line 30

and also it says on admin panel wp booster error: Please update your [tagDiv social counter] Plugin!
but i can’t update it?

what is the problem?

I’ve checked your site and noticed that you’re using an older version of Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/Alrb11Qib Try to update the plugin at V 4.11.2 which is included in theme’s path: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ clear all caches then test the site again.
