Would it be possible for you to describe/share what services you use(d) to update the Car News Template’s content?
We would like to have this be a ‘live’ working demonstration where the content is fresh. It appears that you have some good category filters and sources for this demo. We would like to do the same to show the most current content, – not just as of our ‘install’ date.
Thank you so much! It would be a great help to understand/convey that to others.
Hello Wildwood,
I guess that you want to achieve the similar layout with our Car News demo, right? Please notice that this demo is fully available in Theme panel and if you want you can install it, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-installing-demos/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-revolution-sliders-on-demos/ Notice that this is the surest way in this regard….each of demo has own CSS which can be found here -> http://screencast.com/t/61PADe0Gcj9t Also, using your Inspector browser you should inspect our demo and identify what elements are used in that demo. You can check our tutorial in this regard, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Thanks for the message!
Hello Wildwood,
I guess that you are referring to the RSS feed, right? Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option for RSS feed and also, we cannot recommend any plugins in this regard because we have not tested something like this.
If is not what you mean, please provide more details so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for the message!
When we downloaded/installed the Car News demo, the articles were very current and relevant to the section headings … You must have preloaded the content somehow right before/as we downloaded it … via some utility/RSS feed/Posting into your demo templates. (The postings were current as of that day.)
We want to have our demo be ‘live’ and ‘current’. We can set up our own RSS Aggregator … and we understand that you don’t, as a practice, want to ‘recommend’ any plugins and/or RSS tools, but your search terms and sources seem absolutely perfect for this demo and our purposes.
Is there a way that you can (privately if needed) provide us with this information?
Note, generally you cannot “copy” news from other sources for commercial purposes, like “stealing” RSS feeds from a Car website like Road&Track to populate your own news portal. There is difference between “news announcements” and “editorial content.” Meaning, you can generally copy press release content with proper attribution but you cannot “clone” articles from another website.
One option is using something like FeedWordPress to scrape “authorized” news systems, like Send2Press Newswire, where you can pull in content based on news announcements to your news portal, provided you keep the attribution.
For example, here are example RSS feeds which can be used to “pull” content dynamically into your site(s), unless you are selling a competing service which would violate the terms of use:
https://www.send2press.com/wire/rss-feeds-by-topic/
So for example “some” automotive news you could pull:
https://www.send2press.com/wire/automotive-news/feed/
In this particular example there is far more finance, technology, and entertainment news available from this source; but this is just one example.
