all settings under categories settings are saved but not implemented on the theme. What could be the cause? All other settings work without problems.

Hello,
Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test again. If the settings are still not responding please check your caching settings and only use these ones: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
