I am soon to launch a news website using newspaper theme. I will be creating several mini site for example:
if the site’s url is example.com
I will create minisites with subdomains like gadgets.example.com, or tech.example.com.
Will it possible for me put blocks of tech.example.com on the home page of example.com?

The answer is not on subject. I have the same problem.
License for one domain Yes. What is with subdomains ? What I read it is possible be installed in the same domain several copies. But the answer is not clear.
For example main domain: sport.com
subdomain category Motor: motor.sport.com
subdomain category football: football.sport.com
subdomain category winter :winter.sport.com
All three categories are linked to the home page. Each subdomain has own WP database.
Such solution is effective in larger portals. Managing a large database (category, article) on one wp will be terrible.

Unfortunately the question is not clear either.Are you asking if it’s ok to use a multi site with one theme license? The envato license states that you can use one theme copy on a single end product. A multi-site if it;s part of the same project, you can use a single copy of the theme.
If this is not what you mean, please provide more details so I can better understand how to help.
