Cannot Install Newspaper 7

Just purchased this theme and have tried to upload it to my WP installation. When it uploads I get a message “Are you sure you want to do this?” “Please try again.” Please try again is a clickable link and when I click on it, it takes me back to the WP screen where I am supposed to either choose a theme or upload one. I have done this 3 times and get the same message each time.

I uploaded the theme with FTP and it worked, so please disregard my post.

What settings did you have with FTP client when uploading? …as I have tried uploading FTP and it’s showing up on my server but inside WP its not showing up at all.

It seems the most common problem is that when you download the theme it is in a zip file along with other files that shouldn’t be installed. You have to extract all the files and locate the included zip file that is the actual theme. As far as ftp settings, I used FileZilla, entered my wp login and copied over to the server. Hope this helps.

Yes. There are (2) options for downloading theme on themeforest
1) “all files” — noted as such
2) “theme files” — just the theme

Always good to download ANY zip file and decompress on your local HD to “VIEW” what is there before uploading to any web server/website.

OK that worked but now getting the following error message when trying to activate the theme:
