Can't edit footer widgets

So we have Footer Template 1 enabled. Our footer is showing “Editor Picks” “Popular Posts and “Popular Categories” but when I go to the widgets section there’s nothing under Footer 1, 2, or 3. We can’t figure out how to change out what widgets are there.

(I just changed it to template 5. Maybe that was the answer? Is template 1 just not editable?)

Hello,

Please read the footer template documentation as the footer predefined content is explained there: https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
The short version is: the first 2 footer styles come with predefined content. You can add widgets in the footer 1, 2 and 3 but in these footer styles it will show up after the predefined content that is already present in the footer.
