I tried to update through the theme and I get the error
“Import script started:
> Newspaper 4 settings not found in database! td_008 – not found
> Quiting!”

Hello,
Are you trying to update from newspaper 4 to the current version? The update script you are running is only meant to be used in updating from newspaper 4.

I see. I am confused how to update because when I try to install the update I get an error that the theme already exists.

There are 3 ways to update. The ftp method is the safest.
