How can I make it generate a featured image through a YouTube url?
Hi,
I have tested the featured video option and it is working properly. You just have to follow the steps required. Select the video post format, then one of the recommended post templates. Add your video URL in the featured video field and update the post. Then the featured video will be displayed in the post page, and a featured image will be generated from this video – https://www.screencast.com/t/aHzCQTLyKTAL and displayed on the blocks. Make sure that you have enabled the thumb sizes in theme panel – https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
Please try and disable all your plugins except Visual composer, clear any caching installed and try this again.

There is no need to use a plugin since the theme does it automatically. If this does not happen in your case, maybe something is not working properly regarding the theme. Problems are usually caused by problematic plugins or custom code entered in theme panel or modifications to the theme files. Please also check these parameters in the theme system status and make changes if it is required

The code you mention has no effect on this issue, so you can keep using it. It should work properly with any standard video links from YouTube, I have not seen this problem with a YouTube video before.
