Hello,
On December 17, 2016. I purchased the Newsmag – News Magazine Newspaper theme.
I was under the assumption that I would be able to install and configure the theme to look like this (click on the following link): https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/.
Since the day I purchased this theme, I have been unable to get my site to look like https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/. I have watched the videos on YouTube. I have had someone with web development experience try to help me. I have sent emails for help but the responses have not been helpful. I have found your customer service to be disappointing.
This has been a very frustrating exercise and not a positive experience!!!!!
If anyone asked me if I would recommend your company, I would tell them I could not at this time.
If there is anything that you could help me with, I would appreciate it.
I look forward to your response at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
Dr. Vibe
Hello,
We are sorry for any inconvenience you have encountered using our theme. Thanks for reaching out to us.
Can you please provide more details on why you are not able to get the theme to show as the default demo. Our demos are installed very easily with the click of a button: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-installing-demos/
Is this process not working on your site? Are you getting any errors when installing a demo?
Please provide a link to your site and all the relevant details so we can replicate the issue and give you a solution as soon as possible.
Thank you for understanding!

Hello,
I would like to thank you for your response.
When I did my installation, it looks like this: http://blog.thedrvibeshow.com/.
I was under the impression that it would like like this: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/.
I would like to know why I am not able to get https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/ to upload.
I look forward to your response at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
Dr. Vibe
Hello
It seems you do not have a static page set as your homepage but rather a list of your latest posts. This is a WordPress setting that is found here: https://www.screencast.com/t/wlAH7txj1AL
You can select a page to set as your homepage and then you can use visual composer to add block elements to that page: https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
Feel free to ask if you have any more questions.
Thank you and have a nice day!
Hello,
I would like to thank you for your email.
I have another question. I am in the process of building my homepage. Please click on http://blog.thedrvibeshow.com/?page_id=65917&preview=true to view a preview of my homepage. For some reason, the images for each post are missing. But, if you click on a post title on the homepage, it will take you to the post and the image is visible. If there a solution for the images for each post not showing up on the homepage.
I look forward to your response at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
Dr. Vibe
Hello dr_vibe,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using some untested plugins which might interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. Most likely, this could be the reason of your problem. Try to disable all of these untested plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and check the results. After this, make sure that you have added a featured image to your posts according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-featured-images/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Catalin,
I would like to thank you for your response.
At the present time, I only have five plugins activated (Auto Post Thumbnail, Blubrry PowerPress, tagDiv Social Counter, WP Smush and WPBakery Visual Composer). Are you saying that I need to deactivate each one of these and then add a featured image to my posts according to the documentation you provided?
I look forward to your response at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
Dr. Vibe
Hello,
I would like to add that I imported posts from a site to this site. The images for the posts from the imported site were added manually they were not featured posts. I just don’t understand that when I imported the posts from the other site that the images at the top of each post would not show up. I do not want to have to manually add the images to each post from the site that I imported. The imported site has over 5,000 posts. To manually add images to over 5,000 posts would take a lot time. I hope that this information is helpful.
Sincerely,
Dr. Vibe
Hello dr_vibe,
Try to disable all of the untested plugins except the Auto Post Thumbnail, clear all your caches and check the results. If the problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further investigate it closer your backend.
Thanks for the message
Hello Catalin,
As per your instructions, I have disabled all the plugins except the Auto Post Thumbnail and cleared all my caches, Unfortunately, the images for the posts on my homepage test page (http://blog.thedrvibeshow.com/?page_id=65917&preview=true) are still not showing.
I will be sending an email to contact@tagdiv.com with my login information (wp-admin) so your team can further investigate.
Sincerely,
Dr. Vibe
Hello dr_vibe,
I have checked our emails and I did not find any email from you. We will wait for it so we can take a closer look at it. First of all, I can recommend you contacting the author of Auto Post Thumbnail plugins, tell the problem and request them to help you because the main functionality of this plugin is to take your first image from your content to be featured image. Request the team plugin support. We will investigate your website if you will send us your credentials but we cannot say for sure if we can provide a solution in this case, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Catalin,
I have sent the login information to the contact@tagdiv.com email address.
I will also follow up with the author of the Auto Post Thumbnail plugin.
Sincerely,
Dr. Vibe
