Any tips on how to use the mobile theme to make the site into a web app with bookmarking and notifications?

I guess that you are referring to the Bookmarklet option, right? If is talking about this regard, please check the bottom of the following guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/logo-favicon/ because there you will find how this can be setup.
