I installed the theme and the widgets are gone. When I deactivate the themes they show back.
Do some one know what can be happening?

Your widgets are saved in your previous theme. The widgets will not be moved over to the new theme. When switching themes, you will have to recreate the widgets on the new theme as well. Each sidebar and widgets is kept in the database for a particular theme. If you change themes, they will not be moved over to the new theme.

A was using Newspapper previously. The problem is that after installing the new version, evem the widget área is available. I can’t even crate new widgets.

It means you are not updating the theme properly. You absolutely must not have both versions in your install. The files should be replaced, not copied next to the previous version. Simply replace the files in your old theme version with the new ones.

It did not work. I’ve deleted the previous installation, optimized the database, and even so, when you enable the theme, the widgets area does not appear. This makes the use of the theme unfeasible.
