Hi,
The featured images are getting cropped. And when I looked up how to change the way they are cropped (or option not to crop) I saw that we need to do it via API but it was not at all clear. We want to be able to do this without having to dive into code.
Please let us know how we can better control the way featured images are displayed in various blocks (cropping options, option to not crop – responsive images, post-wise setting or grid wise setting) would be much appreciated.

The images need to be cropped, in order for them to display with good results. The theme uses the following cropping system, it is considered to be the best method in most cases

Depending on the blocks elements that you use and the image, the results may not be the same in all cases

When you upload a featured image, the theme will create the necessary thumbnails automatically

Each module is different in regards of thumbnail size required. Here you can see how all the blocks and grids look in different layouts

There is no option by default in the theme to change the way the cropping implementation works. It could only be done by modifications to the theme files

It is worth mentioning that these modifications will have to be made to the main theme files, it cannot be done through a child theme.
